As we all know, trying to get a happy balance
between both work and family can be very difficult, however it is a
real pleasure to work for a company that really does look after its
clients needs, whilst allowing me to put my own FAMILY FIRST!
I live with my Partner Paul and between us have 3 beautiful children,
Amy, Abbie & Adam. We enjoy doing all the “family stuff”,
like visiting family and friends, days out, swimming and going to the
park. Paul and I also like to get out for a blast on his motorbike when
time allows.
My career in the insurance industry began back in 1990 when I got a
position as an Area Clerk for London and Manchester Assurance and, through
sheer hard work, long hours and effort; I was promoted to Area Office
Supervisor in 1995 and to Sales Support Manager in 1996. It was during
this time that I met Mark, George, Paul and later Ricky, though by August
2000, (when I first took maternity leave), both Mark and George had
already moved on and I made a similar decision when the company relocated
to Newcastle.
It was around this time that
Mark was setting up his own business and he asked me to be his PA, working
on a part-time basis, which meant that
I got to spend quality time with Abbie. In 2003 I had a second period
of maternity leave and, on my return to work, our “little family”
business had already grown with more IFAs and PAs joining us. It is
now 9 years since we set up the business and I still enjoy the work
I do, the people I work with and the personal service that we still
offer to our clients.
