I am 47 years old and, after a wide and varied career, I entered the insurance industry in 1989 as a representative of London & Manchester Assurance and the following year I was married to Joanne.
Following two company take-overs and the uncertainty that that brings, I chose to have more control over my career and I joined ex-colleagues 4 years ago, to become an Independent Financial Adviser. This has allowed me to offer greater choice to my clients, whilst also restoring my confidence, faith and enjoyment in my chosen career.

During my years spent working in insurance, I have studied for and passed, Financial Planning Certificates 1, 2 & 3. I have always put the needs of my customers first and my studies and qualifications will allow me to continue to do this.

The past 18 years have not only been highly demanding in work but also in respect to my hobbies, which included being the Captain of Bishop Auckland Cricket Club for 7 years, though I have now hung up my pads to take up the mantle of Director of Cricket. Additionally, being a Liverpool FC supporter, I try to get to as many home games as possible and, during all of this time, Joanne has been very supportive to me in my career, sharing my highs, lows and the long hours worked together with being highly tolerant insofar as my hobbies are concerned.
