Born in Darlington in 1964 I started my working life at WH Smith before moving onto C&A. I spent a short time in London being a pub landlady but preferred to be on the other side of the bar so moved home and into financial services.

I began my financial services career with Pearl Assurance and worked for them in a variety of locations before becoming the Office Manager in Middlesbrough. When it was announced that Pearl were closing their sales force I was looking forward to becoming a lady of leisure, though I was then approached by Mark, to join Family First on a temporary basis, to cover for Tina’s maternity leave. Here we are now, two years later and I’m still here, (after my own maternity leave), working on a part time basis 2 days a week and enjoying every minute. I have two young children, Abby who is nearly 4 and Luke who is 7 months. My two “angels” take up most of my free time, but any leisure time I have I enjoy nights out with my partner, Chris either enjoying “the other side of the bar” or at the cinema. During the summer months, we enjoy family days out at sea-side or country-side.
